Bold Belonging

At Cascadia, upper grade enrolling students aren't just accepted—they're embraced. Your child will be paired with a peer buddy on day one who'll show them the ropes. Teachers create meaningful opportunities for authentic collaboration that showcase each student's unique strengths. Parents consistently tell us their children feel 'at home' at Cascadia.

Seamless Transitions

Our upper grade teachers are experts at welcoming new students academically, socially, and emotionally. We'll assess where your child is and provide materials before they start. Through personalized attention and targeted support, we ensure your child builds on their previous educational foundation while embracing Cascadia's inquiry-based approach.

Personal Attention

With our small class sizes, we notice everything. Each Cascadia student benefits from a tailored learning plan that identifies strengths to leverage and areas for growth. For upper grade enrolling students, this personalized approach is even more valuable—teachers provide targeted check-ins during the first few weeks to ensure academic and social integration.

Coming to Cascadia from my previous school was a hard change. I had to move to a whole different house and neighborhood as well. The transition was nice because the teachers helped me with getting to know all the ways around. They briefed me about everything! Now I love being a part of this community because everyone has a part to play here!

Tuition

  • 2025-2026 All-Inclusive Tuition: $29,400

  • Enrollment down payment: 10% of the total Tuition ($2,940.) This amount is applied towards the total tuition amount owed, not on top of it.

  • Siblings: Younger siblings are given priority admissions and older siblings receive a 10% reduction in tuition while their younger sibling(s) are enrolled.

  • Payment Plans: There are three payment plans available. After the 10% down payment, you can split the remaining tuition balance between 1, 2, or 10 installments.

  • Often the annual tuition rate at independent schools is just the starting cost, and you can count on getting billed for a variety of things throughout the year. Not at Cascadia—we believe in being simple and upfront about the cost of education, so the tuition rate at Cascadia includes all the extras, meaning no additional fees*. This includes the cost of all field trips (including overnight camps for our fourth and fifth graders), personal iPads for each student, software, textbooks, all transportation fees, daily snack, and unlimited after-school care. This flat rate ensures that you know upfront the cost of sending your child here. Below are the details for new incoming students for the 2025-2026 academic year:

*unlimited after school childcare/homework club is included in tuition, but additional fees will apply for enrolling in our optional after-school enrichment classes and clubs.

    Affordability

We know that your child’s elementary education is one of the most important decisions you’ll make for them, as it builds a foundation that will set them up for success throughout their academic and social development. We also know that choosing an independent education is one of the bigger financial decisions you’ll make.

We are dedicated to expanding access to a Cascadia education to families who otherwise wouldn’t be able to shoulder the full price. During admissions, we will assess your family’s financial situation to determine eligibility for financial aid, with priority given to families that earn the median family income or less in King County.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Applications are assessed as they are received. Once your family interview is complete, you may hear an admissions decision very quickly, potentially within a day or two.

  • Unfortunately, our school tours are only scheduled during the months of October-February. However, when you come in for your family interview and school visit, you will have an opportunity to view our campus as well.

  • This interview is your opportunity to ask the Head of School any questions you might have. It is also a chance for your family to get a deeper understanding of Cascadia’s community and our values. It is also a chance for Cascadia staff to get to know your family and your child as well. Outside of the application materials, you do not need to prepare anything for this interview in advance.

  • These typically last from 8:30am-2:00pm. Your student will spend the day with their class to give them a chance to engage in class lessons, meet other students, experience the culture of Cascadia, as well as giving our Head of School the chance to observe them in these settings. We will pair your student up with classmate buddies for the day to make sure they feel welcomed.
