Applications for the 2025-2026 school year are now open!
Admissions Process
We know that picking your child’s elementary school is one of the bigger decisions you’ll make for them, and we feel privileged that you are considering Cascadia to be part of their story. We look forward to getting to know your child’s passions, personality, and learning needs, so that we can determine if Cascadia is a good fit for your family.
Our application process is simple and is facilitated through the admission platform, Ravenna.
Schedule tour
A tour is the best way to get a feel if Cascadia is a good fit for your child. Our tours are done in small groups and can be scheduled without applying. While tours are highly recommended, you may skip this step and move to the application if you prefer.
Submit full application
To apply, you’ll need an account with Ravenna, the application fee is $75. Depending on what grade you are applying to, you’ll need to submit transcripts, references, and parent essays. (Application fee can be reduced or waived for those eligible for financial aid.)
Child + family interviews
In addition to your child's assessment, we will conduct an interview with you as well. Parent fit and buy-in to our program is as much a part of our decision-making process as anything else.
Tuition & After School Fees
Tuition
Often the annual tuition rate at independent schools is just the starting cost, and you can count on getting billed for a variety of things throughout the year. Not at Cascadia — we believe in being simple and upfront about the cost of education, so the tuition rate at Cascadia includes all the extras, meaning no additional fees*. This includes the cost of all field trips (including overnight camps for our fourth and fifth graders), personal iPads for each student, software, textbooks, all transportation fees, daily snack, and unlimited after-school care. This flat rate ensures that you know upfront the cost of sending your child here. Below are the details for new incoming students for the 2025-2026 academic year:
Tuition: $29,400
Enrollment down payment: 10% of the total Tuition ($2,940.) This amount is applied towards the total tuition amount owed, not on top of it.
Siblings: Younger siblings are given priority admissions and older siblings receive a 10% reduction in tuition while their younger sibling(s) are enrolled.
Payment Plans: There are three payment plans available. After the 10% down payment, you can split the remaining tuition balance between 1, 2, or 10 installments.
*unlimited after school childcare/homework club is included in tuition, but additional fees will apply for enrolling in our optional after-school enrichment classes and clubs.

Affordability & Financial Aid
We know that your child’s elementary education is one of the most important decisions you’ll make for them, as it builds a foundation that will set them up for success throughout their academic and social development. We also know that choosing an independent education is one of the bigger financial decisions you’ll make.
We are dedicated to expanding access to a Cascadia education to families who otherwise wouldn’t be able to shoulder the full price. During admissions, we will assess your family’s financial situation to determine eligibility for financial aid, with priority given to families that earn the median family income or less in King County.
After school
enrichment classes
Throughout the year, we offer a broad package of after school extracurricular classes that are completely optional. Classes range from teaching coding or robotics to learning chess or karate. Each class has a different cost, but the average is $300 per class each term. Here is a sample week taken from previous semesters:
Monday: Lego Club and Chess
Tuesday: Choir and Circus Club
Wednesday: Acting and Debate
Thursday: Coding and Dance & Gymnastics
Friday: Music Class and Running Club
*as these enrichment classes are optional, they are not included in the cost of tuition.
After school
childcare
Engaging childcare is offered every day from 3:15pm-6pm. If your child is not enrolled in an enrichment class, then this time will be filled with structured and unstructured playtime and homework groups led by our staff to help reinforce the concepts taught during the day. We are excited to offer this childcare solution to our families at no additional cost.
For additional questions regarding childcare, please refer to our FAQ page.
