Our unique approach to education

We create a space where every child’s curiosity and potential are nurtured, helping them grow into global citizens who approach the world with openness and wonder.

Celebrating each child

We celebrate that all children are unique and bring their own creativity to the classroom. By keeping our class sizes small, we allow for individualized engagement. Students learn to embrace their differences and trust their personal voice.

Holistic Approach

We believe education is a lifelong journey fueled by curiosity and engagement. Our role is to inspire young learners to ask meaningful questions, explore answers with confidence, and keep discovering with persistence and joy.

 Rooted in our history

We have been a strong presence in the Eastside independent school community since 1977. With a rich foundation in Montessori philosophy, our unique curriculum intertwines independence and discovery with structure and accountability.

Committed to the whole student

Elementary school lays the foundation for future success, and our commitment to a broad liberal arts education helps students grow into curious, engaged thinkers across multiple disciplines, with learning that sprials upward.

Hear from our families

Cascadia has been like family to us—an extension of our home. The teachers truly care about our children and thoughtfully tailor their teaching to meet each child’s individual needs. Beyond strong academics, the school fosters an inclusive, collaborative culture that encourages leadership and advocacy in every student. We’re grateful to be part of a community that nurtures both minds and hearts.

We love the school’s culture where something like reading is “cool”. One of our kids was a reluctant reader and ended up wanting to become a writer. That’s real impact.

Beyond academics, Cascadia excels at teaching essential “life skills” like public speaking and self-advocacy. We see our children comfortably approaching coaches and teachers outside of school when they need help, a quality that Cascadia intentionally instilled in them from an early age.

Head of School Teri Keeton is exceptionally involved and takes the time to truly know each student. When our older child was accepted into multiple private middle schools, we leaned heavily on Mrs. Keeton’s guidance to make the right decision. We trusted her completely because of how well she understands our child’s strengths, personality, and where they would thrive best—and that level of care is rare.

My children have been attending Cascadia since Pre-K and they both adore their school. They eagerly look forward to attending school every morning and return home with enthusiasm, eager to share their amazing experiences. I am deeply grateful to Cascadia for investing so much in my children’s education and well-being.
