We know that picking your child’s elementary school is one of the bigger decisions you’ll make for them, and we feel privileged that you’re considering Cascadia to be part of their story. We look forward to getting to know your child’s passions, personality, and learning needs, so that we can determine if Cascadia is a good fit for your family.
Our application process is simple, and is facilitated through the admission platform, Ravenna. The application must be submitted by February 23, 2020 with decision letters being sent March 20, 2020.
Note: After February 23, 2020, we will move to a rolling admissions for certain grades to fill any open spots.
A tour is the best way to get a feel if we're a good fit for your child. Our tours are done in small groups and can be scheduled without applying. You can skip this step and move to the application if you prefer.
Submit full application
To apply, you’ll need an account with Ravenna, the application fee is $75. Depending on what grade you are applying to, you’ll need to submit transcripts, references, and parent essays.
Child + family interviews
In addition to your child's assessment, we will conduct an interview with you. Your fit and buy-in to our program is as much a part of our decision-making process as anything else.
Tuition & After School Fees
Tuition at Cascadia is a flat rate that covers field trips, computers, tablets, software, textbooks, enrollment fee; and we don’t require any additional giving. This ensures that you know upfront the cost of sending your child here. Below are the details for incoming students for the 2020-2021 academic year:
Enrollment down payment: $2,200 due March 27, 2020. This amount is applied towards the total tuition amount owed, not on top of it -- think of it as a 10% down payment, not an added fee.
Siblings: Younger siblings are given priority admissions and receive a 10% reduction in tuition.
Throughout the year, we offer a broad package of extracurricular classes that are completely optional. Classes range from teaching coding or robotics to learning chess or karate. Each class has a different cost, but the average is $350 per class each semester. Here is a sample week taken from the current semester:
Monday: Chess Class with Chess 4 Life, Debate Club with Cascadia faculty
Tuesday: Karate Class with Eastside Family Karate, Speech Club with Cascadia faculty
Wednesday: Coding and Robotics with Tech Venture
Thursday: Science Investigation with Mad Science
Friday: Archimedes Math Class
* Please note that any child enrolled in a class must also have a care plan from below.
Engaging childcare is offered everyday from 3:15pm-6pm. If your child is not enrolled in an enrichment class, then this time will be filled with both structured and unstructured playtime, as well as homework groups led by our staff to help reinforce the concepts taught during the day. There are two care plans that you can choose from:
Annual: $2,750 paid upfront for a full school year of unlimited after school care. If used regularly, this is the most affordable option at a per hour rate.
Half hour punch-cards: $350 for 25 hours of care. Your card is deducted at quarter-hour intervals.
* Care plans apply to all siblings enrolled; i.e. only one annual plan is needed to cover all siblings.
