Cydney Knapp | Community Engagement Coordinator
Ms. Cydney is excited to be back at Cascadia this year as the Community Engagement Coordinator. She has over 20 years’ experience teaching and working with children in a variety of settings, including teaching 4th grade at Cascadia for four years back in 2007. She is eager to once again experience the passion this team has for the children they teach and all the work that goes into helping students reach their highest potential. She lives in Redmond with her husband and three young children. Having two disabled children, she is passionate about the work of normalizing disability and teaching others to embrace difference through education, meaningful inclusion and self-advocacy. Her claim to fame is that she is great in a crisis. Her hobbies include adventures like hiking, camping, rock climbing, reading, sewing, hammock-laying, and before-bed dance parties with her kids.
